Compost points in Óbuda

The purpose of the compost points is to collect household vegetable waste and turn it into humus.
Vegetables, fruit, houseplants, and coffee grounds can be placed in the compost bins that are currently being filled. Green waste can only be chopped into small pieces.
Objects of animal origin, chemically treated objects, and slowly decomposing plant parts (e.g. evergreens) are prohibited.
Keep in mind that this is a community enterprise, so stronger restrictions apply than in the case of a family compost.

Further composting basics can be read in Hungarian on the humusz.hu website.
